| SUNDOGS AND SAGUARO - #393 |
| Sundogs are more correctly called parhelia (Greek for beside the sun). They are concentrations of refracted sunlight along the path that would be a solar halo if enough high clouds were in that area of the sky. This scene is from just before sunset in the desert east of Phoenix, Arizona. |
