SNAKESKIN MILKY WAY PETROGLYPH - #3501
This rock art rendition of the Milky Way is reminiscent of snakeskin. Snakes are "reborn" when shedding their skin just as souls were believed to be reborn into the spirit world after death. The Milky Way was perceived as the road to the afterlife by some ancient cultures, so these petroglyphs relating it to snakes may pertain to aspects of death and rebirth.
